An Old Style, Revisited
Christmas 2009 witnessed the return of an art form that used to be very popular in schools and churches across the country. The art form is that of a felt board with felt characters. The Creative Arts team, however, took the idea of felt board with attachable felt pieces of fabric to a whole new level.
Working a lot of hard work, the team fashioned a large circle to serve as the backdrop to the art. Once constructed, the fabric was chosen for the background and characters, it was cut to serve as caves, buildings, and costumes for the characters.
Each week saw the addition of a new character and scence as the season of Advent marched on, growing closer and closer to Christmas. The scenes even went so far as to capture the arrival of the Magi, which constitute the 12 days of Christmas.
